Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has suffered  a concussion  after fainting due to dehydration
Hillary Clinton, a workhorse with an appetite to drill down on massive briefing books, fly for 10 hours and show up in some foreign country 10 times zones away to carry out the most delicate of diplomatic tasks, has been momentarily sidelined after suffering a concussion when she fainted at home resulting from dehydration due to a stomach virus, according to the State Department.
During the past week, it was curious to note that Clinton cancelled a planned trip to Tunisia and Morroco on Tuesday morning and was not in the office all week.
The State Department confirmed today she is resting at home. Â Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC reported at 12:30 p.m. today that Clinton will work from home next week and her doctors are monitoring her recovery. Â Mitchell also reported that Clinton is not likely to testify before Congress about the hearings scheduled on Benghazi, as originally planned for next week, due to her injury.
The State Department’s Accountability Review Board investigation into the events in Benghazi is expected to be finalized in the coming days and Clinton had agreed to testify before the House and the Senate Foreign Affair Committees about the report’s findings.
