Hate Group Heads Host Man Who Keeps Losing Contracts Over Anti-Gay Views
The heads of two certified anti-gay hate groups hosted a radio program and spoke with a man who keeps losing business contracts over his views of homosexuality and same-sex marriage. Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council (FRC) appeared with Tim Wildmon, president of the American Family Association (AFA) on AFA radio, and spoke with Dr. Frank Turek, a motivational speaker who recently lost contracts with both Bank Of America and Cisco Systems, reportedly because of his views on same-sex marriage. Turek wrote the book, “Correct, Not Politically Correct; How Same-Sex Marriage Hurts Everyone.”
Via One News Now, a division of the American Family Association (so, take it with a grain of salt):
First, Cisco Systems canceled a training contract with Turek even though the sessions had nothing to do with his views on same-gender marriage. Now, Bank of America has done the same — and in both cases, because one person complained.
“And he got a call from the [BOA] vice president for inclusion and diversity — which is funny because the ‘inclusion’ person called to exclude him from the workforce by firing him for simply holding an opinion that’s held by most Americans,” explains Dr. Mike Adams, associate professor of criminology at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
In this interview (video below), Turek falsely states, “I get a lot of flak for agreeing with what a majority of Americnas agree on, and that is that marriage is between on mean and one woman.” Well, Dr. Turek and Adams, you’re wrong. We now have at least five major nationwide polls that find that the majority of Americans support same-sex marriage.
Turek also falsely states that only a man and a woman an best-nurture children as well. False! And we have studies that prove that as well.
Of course, the President of NOM, the National Organization For Marriage, Brian Brown, falsely claimed Turek was an “employee,” fanning flames of fear that people can get fired for opposing equality, and ignoring the truth that in dozens of states, American citizens can get fired not for their views on equality, but for being LGBT.
AFA radio is broadcast in 40 states via 200 radio stations and streams online to countless more.
