Hate Crime Bill Passes Committee. Just minutes ago, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 (H.R. 1913), better known as The Matthew Shepard Act, passed the House Judiciary Committee by a vote of 15 -12. Full House vote could be next week. More info at HRC.
