GOP U.S. Senate Candidate Quits Romney, Says Vote For Obama — And Me
Republican U.S. Senatorial candidate Linda McMahon, desperately trying to pick up a few votes in the race she’s clearly losing to Connecticut Democrat Chris Murphy, has distributed marketing that reads, “President Barack Obama and Linda McMahon will fight for us,” and “Vote Barack Obama for President and Linda McMahon for U.S. Senate on the Independent line.”
Talking Points Memo, which originally published the campaign marketing collateral materials (head over there to see the full assortment) notes McMahon “says she’s still backing Romney,” and adds, “McMahon has been telling voters lately that it’s okay to vote for President Obama as well as her.”
Perhaps this has something to do with McMahon’s “switch”?
