GOP Iowa Debate: Hypocrisy Award Goes To…
At Thursday night’s GOP debate in Ames, Iowa, Rick Santorum won the hypocrisy award hands down. Santorum, who’s built his political career on “family values,” meaning, attacking the LGBT community and being so anti-gay Dan Savage managed the greatest Google bomb ever (just Google “Santorum,”) actually had the arrogance and the audacity to cry out that Iran, “tramples the rights of gays.” Because the rights of gays are so near and dear to his heart.

Santorum has promised to overturn New York’s marriage equality law, signed Bob Vander Plaats’ anti-gay marriage vow, stated government should have a bias against gay people, said same-sex marriage cheapens marriage and undermines faith, advocated for a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, and that’s just this year.
