Good News For GOP: Many Have Never Heard Of Ryan, Boehner, Norquist, Rubio

Perhaps there’s some good news for the GOP: despite the fact that they’ve lost the election, their approval ratings are in the tank, and the vast majority of Americans support President Obama’s policies over those of the Republican Party, a great many, if not most, Americans have never even heard of some of the GOP’s greatest liabilities, according to a new poll just released by Politico and George Washington University:

61% of Americans say they have never even heard of Grover Norquist.
36%, or, more than a third of Americans have never heard of Marco Rubio.
24% of Americans have never heard of Speaker John Boehner.
And, shockingly, 11% of Americans have never heard of the GOP’s vice presidential candidate, who lost just one month ago, Paul Ryan.

Imagine if americans were actually more familiar with these Republicans, how much more reviled the GOP would be.

Oh, and only 1% of Americans have never heard of Hillary Clinton, whose approval rating is actually one point higher than President Obama’s, making her the popular person in the poll.
