From last night’s “The Ed Show,” a clip from Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee protégé David Barton, suggesting the government should “regulate homosexuality.” Imagine that. This is the Christian nationalist, David Barton, former co-chair of the Texas Republican party, and the man responsible for the extremely anti-gay Texas GOP Platform on Homosexuality. Barton has worked with Tea Party darlings like Sharron Angle and Marco Rubio.
Barton, of course, is using long-ago disproved and discredited theories of Paul Cameron, Chair of the Family Research Institute (FRI) which is categorized as a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Association. Paul Cameron was expelled in 1983 from the American Psychological Association.
