Gillibrand: Why “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” Repeal Matters

Eleven months ago, almost to the day, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand spoke to an overflowing roomful of supporters at New York City’s LGBT Center. (I filmed this, so I know!) Introduced by an impassioned Lt. Dan Choi, Gillibrand, Gillibrand told the room the facts and figures of what we already knew to be true, and what a federal court judge has echoed: “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” must be repealed because it hurts our military.

Here we are, eleven months later, with a vote scheduled for tomorrow, 80% of Americans supporting repeal of DADT, our President supporting its repeal (albeit almost silently,) and yet, our Congress isn’t sure it can muster up the votes?

Tell Congress The American People DO want “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repealed!
