Major Gay Marriage Movement In New Hampshire, Maine, New York

Coming off an incredibly full week last week in which Hate Crimes legislation made a major step forward, today the Maine Senate approved a gay marriage bill, which will head to the governor after the House and Senate reconcile their versions. The bill should reach the governor Wednesday. The governor, who is opposed to gay marriage, could neither sign nor veto it, and it would then become law.
New Hampshire’s House votes on their gay marriage bill Wednesday afternoon, after was passed in the Senate last week. It stands a good chance of passing. Although 55% of New Hampshire voters support gay marriage, the governor does not, but is said to be open to it.
Credo Action is reporting the highly contentious New York State gay marriage bill may see its first House vote as early as Wednesday morning.
