George Takei, star of Star Trek TOS, and a popular LGBT activist and cult hero, has a few words for our friends in Tennessee. The Tennessee state senate this week passed a bill that bans the use of the word “gay,” or any reference to homosexuality. The “don’t-say-gay” bill could be passed in the House next year and if the Governor signs it, it will become law.
So George Takei has offered his services — and his name — to the state of Tennessee.
If you can’t say “gay,” say, “Takei!”
Oh, and if you’re in Tennessee, there’s a rally on Sunday to protest (what must be) the unconstitutional bill.
Remember, it’s OK to be Takei!
