Gay Rights Have Nothing To Do With Civil Rights, Because, Ellen DeGeneres, Says Conservative

A conservative religious author and anti-gay activist says that gay rights have nothing to do with civil rights, and points to Ellen DeGeneres as proof. “Gay is not the new black,” says Michael Brown, adding that “skin color cannot be equated with behavior.”

Exposing his embarrassing ignorance, Brown falsely claims, “during the days of segregation, we didn’t have people like Ellen DeGeneres who were national celebrities who were black and just loved by the whole nation.”

Apparently, Brown has never heard of Louis Armstrong, Josephine Baker, or Sammy Davis, Jr., to name a few. And let’s not forget, DeGeneres lost her sitcom after she first came out.

And apparently, Brown took Newsweek’s claim that Obama is “The First Gay President” a bit too literally. “We didn’t have a gay or lesbian president – we have a black president now – [so] you can’t compare the these things at all,” he says, ridiculously.

Of course, this is far from the first time Brown, who claims the gay agenda’s ultimate goal is to put Christians in jail, has uttered sheer nonsense.

Earlier this year, Brown claimed, “the world’s best mommy is not a good daddy” — in an apparent claim to marginalize same-sex parents.

Brown is the author of almost two dozen books, including A Queer Thing Happened to America: And What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been.
