Paterson:
“Let Prop 8 Be A Call To Arms”
Â
At least 2000 citizen activists flooded the capitol city of New York state today, inspired by their desire for equality in an event organized by the Empire State Pride Agenda, “Equality And Justice Day“. Activists are working for convince legislators to pass bills for marriage equality, protection against bias-based bullying in schools, and gender-expression nondiscrimination. They met with state representatives and senators on the same day that the New York State Senate Judiciary Committee was examining Governor Paterson’s gay marriage bill. The bill is expected to make it through the committee, and will be voted on in the Assembly on Monday.
