Gay GOP Presidential Candidate Fred Karger’s David Pakman Interview
Fred Karger, America’s first openly-gay presidential candidate — and a Republican — is interviewed in this video by David Pakman on The David Pakman Show. Karger calls Michele Bachmann’s husband Marcus, “Ladybird Bachmann,” and discusses the anti-gay platform of the GOP. Karger says he’s in favor of small government.
“I just think that the pro-gay rights, anti-war, pro-marijuana, wing of the Republican Party is pretty darn small,” says Pakman.
Karger says that change comes from within, and discusses his difficulty in getting into the GOP debates. He says he’s often more progressive than Obama. That remains subject to debate.
Pakman asks Karger if he doesn’t get the Republican nomination, would he vote for an anti-gay nominee?
