Gay Blog Queerty, Dead For Weeks, Will Return

Queerty, the LGBT blog known for its tongue-in-cheeck irreverence, gratuitous nudity, and surprisingly, questionably, almost at times anti-gay point of view, which went off-line weeks ago, then officially closed April 17, has announced it will return.

Posted on the Queerty website is this message: “Queerty is coming back! You heard us right, after a few weeks of downtime, Queerty will soon return as the one place you need to turn each day.   We’re still working out some of the kinks, but the archives are now back for your reading enjoyment.  Stay tuned for more news next week.”

Queerty, created by Jossip founder and extremely successful Internet entrepreneur David Hauslaib, had come under the operational control of 353 Media. An email sent by Hauslaib announcing the site’s closure stated, “a scenario that began with some technical headaches, has ended with 353 opting to not continue operating the site.”

No word yet on why the resurrection. While many were saddened to see the site die, others were, well, delighted, given its often distasteful and anti-gay, loose approach to facts.

Hauslaib did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Stay tuned!
