Fox’s Keith Ablow On Chaz Bono: Transgenderism Not A Civil Right (Video)

Chaz Bono does not have a civil right to be transgender, suggests Fox News pundit Dr. Keith Ablow, discussing his recent column, “Don’t Let Your Kids Watch Chaz Bono On ‘Dancing With the Stars’.” Ablow adds that Chaz Bono’s appearance on “Dancing With The Stars” is a “fame tour” “promoting transgenderism,” and warns parents that tomboys watching Chaz Bono on DWTS will want to become boys — or may think they’re transgender.

The Fox Business News anchor introduces the segment with glee: it’s “created a huge firestorm!” he says, proudly. (Fox Business?)

Amazingly, the infamous Monica Crowley (who once promised she would run for the U.S. Senate. I registered the domain stopmomnicacrowley.com when I heard) actually disagrees with Ablow. This is how crazy wrong Ablow is. When Monica Crowley thinks you’ve gone too far, you’re over the edge and overboard.

Alan Colmes gets it right. “I can’t believe Dr. Ablow, whose job it is to help people… Do we honestly think kids are going to say, I’d like to change my sex too?” Ablow interjects, snidely, “Yes,” and later, nastily shouts, repeatedly, “Chaz Bono is not a man.”

Remember, Ablow is the Fox News doctor who just three weeks ago suggested that pedophilia is a sexual orientation, like homosexuality. (It’s not. Pedophilia is a psychiatric disorder.) In April, Ablow wrote a highly-​controversial column suggesting that J. Crew CEO Jenna Lyons’ painting her son’s toenails pink amounted to “psychological sterilization.” (Lyons’ son’s favorite color happens to be pink.)

This is not Ablow’s first ignorant, pop-​psychology attack on Chaz Bono. In May, Ablow penned a column attacking Chaz Bono so viciously, calling Bono “psychotic” and classifying him as “delusion[al]” that Fox actually removed it.

Why is Dr. Keith Ablow on Fox? Or, given a platform anywhere?

There’s a petition at Change.org to have them remove Ablow’s column. They should remove Ablow as well.
