Don’t Let Sandra Glowaki Get Away With Gay Bashing Gays In Court

Sandra Glowacki is alleging that all gay people are guilty of living a “destructive lifestyle.” How dare Sandra Glowacki gay bash gays to a United States Court?

On Spirit Day, October 20, 2010, in Howell High School in Howell, Michigan, teacher Jay McDowell was teaching enlightened acceptance values towards LGBTers.

The topic fit very well with the special day and also with McDowell’s general class topic, Economics, as prejudice against LGBTers has negatively impacted them economically and moreover reduced their contributions to the economy generally.

In a well-publicized incident, student Daniel Glowacki was asked to leave the classroom because McDowell found that the student was creating a disturbance, which allegedly included his opining that, for theocratic reasons, gays are not acceptable. His mother Sandra Glowacki appeared to be trying for damage control when on October 28, she told a local paper, “My son is not a bigot. He has a very diverse group of friends that includes some gays. If a gay student was being picked on in class, he’d stick up for them.”

Despite having said that, Sandra Glowacki, through attorneys of the Thomas More Law Center, in two of her children’s names, including in Daniel’s name, has now filed a gay-bashing lawsuit against the school, asking that its sexual-orientation-specific anti-bullying policy be declared unconstitutional.

This lawsuit is stuffed full of appalling, gay-bashing, defamatory bigotry. It states, for example, that all homosexuals live a “destructive lifestyle.”

After saying that her son Daniel would “stick up for” a gay student being picked on in class, how dare Sandra Glowacki bring a lawsuit in his name in which all gay human beings are libeled for living a “destructive lifestyle”?

How dare this woman gay bash to a United States Court that way? How dare she? Demonizing a minority is not justified because it is being done on religious grounds. The U.S. system of justice presumes that defendants are innocent; yet here is Glowacki alleging that all gay people are guilty of living a “destructive lifestyle.”

Sandra Glowacki . . . hardly a saint . . . should better educate herself, and not coincidentally, her offspring, about the many LGBT Americans leading constructive lifestyles. She could — if she wanted to — explore with her children the website of the National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals. Alternately, or additionally, Sandra Glowacki could attend live concerts by the Philadelphia Orchestra, whose Music Director Designate Yannick Nézet-Séguin is gay. If Sandra Glowacki would take her children to visit The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, they could speak with the gay Rabbi Irving Greenberg, and perhaps even with one of Rabbi Greenberg’s co-founders of the organization, the Nobel Laureate Eli Wiesel.

Of course, these prominent gay people leading constructive lifestyles don’t include the quiet LGBT heroes of everyday life, including, for instance, lesbian and/or gay firefighters that would risk their lives going through flames to rescue Sandra Glowacki from a blaze.

Sandra Glowacki, honor, and basic human decency demand that you now instruct your Thomas More Law Center attorneys to remove all language from your Complaint document that libels gay human beings as a class. If your Thomas More Law Center lawyers do not know how to file a revised complaint, fire them.
