Consider this an official thank you to the wonderful people at Coke for gently encouraging the wonderful people at King and Spalding to drop their defense of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). As was reported Monday, John Boehner’s $520 an hour law firm decided a half-million dollar contract wasn’t worth being on the wrong side of history, and dropped the U.S. House of Representatives as its client.
It seems fitting that this song, a groundbreaking commercial 40 years ago, lives on.
