Democratic Activists Create Easy Get Out The Vote Campaign — Here’s How You Can Get Involved

Bold Progressives, a Democratic action organization that’s almost a million members strong, has created a great get out the vote (GOTV) campaign targeting essential election races. It’s called “Call Out The Vote” and you can get involved by helping to make calls to critical voters in key elections.

Frankly, there’s too much at stake and the elections are now just too close. Four weeks from today America will be making some of the most important decisions we as a county can make — deciding who will represent us — and there are many people who just need an extra push to go vote. That’s where you come in.

Friend of The New Civil Rights Movement, Yetta Kurland, is teaming up with Bold Progressives — also known as the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) — to help win key battleground elections.

Yetta, an LGBT activist and civil rights attorney who hosts the progressive radio show Yetta Kurland LIVE! has set up YettOutTheVote.com and tonight she’s helping former U.S. Congressman and firebrand Alan Grayson win re-election.

“It’s a way to make vital phone calls to great progressive Democratic candidates around the country right from your own home,” Yetta told me via an email today.

Go to YettOutTheVote.com and sign up for a shift. The program is incredibly easy to use. It uses your computer and your phone at the same time to call voters for you. You don’t have to dial numbers, and the system screens out dead lines and answering machines, making efficient use of your time. This is a great way to help win a progressive Congress from your own home.

The elections are just around the corner. I look forward to working with all of you over the next few weeks to ensure we reelect President Obama and make sure he has a progressive, Democratic Congress he can work with.

Aren’t a few hours of your time worth ensuring we don’t face a Republican president, a Republican-led Senate, or more Republicans in the House?

Go to YettOutTheVote now — it’s important.
