Former NFL Giant David Tyree, who lives in New Jersey but feels he has a “voice” in New York’s marriage equality debate, says in this video so many things that negate so many things he’s already said, it’s ludicrous. If it weren’t such a serious issue, you might actually laugh at his “thought process.”
Things like saying he’s learned so much in life that his father never gave him, negating his earlier statement that a male same-sex couple can’t raise a daughter because they don’t know how to teach her to be a woman.
And you have to love how Tyree gets out of his past, saying he was a “young man,” and his past lead him “into some rough circumstances.” Did anyone hear him say the word “drugs?” Because he should have. They certainly were there.
Tyree then discusses the definition of marriage, “If you’ve committed you life to someone…” but, just as he doesn’t understand the definition of the word “anarchy,” he doesn’t understand the definition of the word “marriage.”
“There are only two issues that are hot topics that are near and dear to God’s heart, and that is same-sex marriage and abortion.” Yes, Tyree actually said that God loves same-sex marriage and abortion. Go Giants!
Pity him? No. This is a stunt to get his name out there.Whatever his beliefs, he has no expertise, and is a washed up has-been whom NOM is using in a desperate attempt to keep their heads above water.
