CNN is now reporting that Hillary Clinton has been hospitalized at New York Presbyterian for a blood clot, location unknown, that was discovered during a routine follow-up exam, stemming from a concussion she suffered on December 15th.
This is a different information than had been reported earlier by the Associated Press which stated Clinton has a blood clot on her brain.
Her spokesperson Phillipe Reines has not indicated where the “formed blood clot” is located. Â She is being treated with anti-coagulants and will be under observation for 48 hours. Reines’ statement also indicated that doctors are assessing her condition as required.
Dr. Keith Black, a neurosurgeon at Cedar Sinai Hospital, also in New York City,  who was interviewed by CNN, suspects that Clinton may have developed a “deep venous thrombosis, which is a  blood clot that forms in a vein deep inside a part of the body.” According to Black, a venous thrombosis usually  forms in the lower leg and thigh.
Clinton suffered a concussion at home, when she fainted after becoming dehydrated from a stomach virus. Â She has not been in her office since December 14th.
The New Civil Rights Movement will continue to report on Secretary Clinton’s condition.
