CNN has again tapped Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council, to explain to the public President Barack Obama‘s evolution on same-sex marriage. CNN is available in over 100 million U.S. homes. The Family Research Council is a certified anti-gay hate group. Make sense to you? Not to us either.
Perkins has often also appeared on MSNBC, which was served with thousands of signed petitions asking for him to not be legitimized with an on-air presence. MSNBC ignored the request. CNN has also been asked to not host Perkins, and ignores those requests.

Today Perkins diddled with Wolf Blitzer, telling him that gays have the same rights as all other Americans when it comes to marriage, but Obama is redefining marriage.
Of course, Blitzer blasted Perkins on his rhetoric and told him it was untrue. Right?
Wrong.
Wolf Blitzer gave an unchallenged platform to the head of a hate group to spew his filth into millions of American homes, unchallenged.
Perkins also incorrectly told Bitzer that gays already have access to all the same protections that straight married couples do, and we can just go to a lawyer to get some legal documents to make us “equal.” That is false. Very false.
And, also falsely, Perkins told Blitzer there is a conflict with parental rights when same-sex marriage becomes legal.
Blitzer didn’t blink.
Perkins compared gay couples to brothers and sisters. He said all we have is a “sexual relationship.”
Perkins said that he deferred to “the science” when he came up with his positions on homosexuals.
Blitzer might as well have gone out, had a cup of coffee and a cigarette, and come back when Perkins was done lying.
There are still times, you know, like when Congress has to vote to reauthorize the Voting Right Act. Perhaps Wolf Blitzer will invite David Duke, or another white supremacist, on to “debate” the virtues of that. Why not the Grand Wizard of the KKK?
In fact, Duke should insist — because there is absolutely no difference.
Far fetched, you say?
Don’t forget that Tony Perkins has funded the KKK. Yes, Perkins gave the KKK $80,000 to but their mailing list. Which tells you everything you need to know about who Perkins is interested in reaching.
But it’s perfectly acceptable for him to go on CNN and MSNBC.
Right?
