Cain Campaign Proud Of Herman Cain’s “Princess Nancy” Comment

During Wednesday night’s GOP debate on CNBC, Herman Cain referred to former Speaker of the House, now Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as “Princess Nancy.” The level of disrespect for the former Speaker was palpable. Cain, in amid a sexual harassment and sexual assault scandal with multiple women, displayed his general contempt for women on the national stage.

Talking Points Memo reports:

Within a few minutes, Cain’s official Twitter account posted this message:

The answer to Health Care: HR3000, the bill killed by “Princess Nancy” in committee #tcot #cnbcdebate
Clearly, there’s no one home at Cain campaign HQ, at least no one with any discretion.
Former Bush spokeswoman Dana Perino, in reaction to Herman Cain calling former Speaker of the House Pelosi “princess Nancy”, tweeted this:

@DanaPerino: Ay yi yi, former Speaker Pelosi called a princess in the debate? Not fair. We may disagree on policy, but she earned the Speaker title.

Even herman Cain realized, “That was a statement I probably should not have made.” Pity his campaign was proud of it.

Adam Serwer reminds us, “The Speaker of the House is second in line for the presidency of the United States, should the President and Vice President become incapacitated. ”
