Broadway’s “Hair” To Feature Same-Sex Weddings On Stage – One Night Only
The Broadway show “Hair” will celebrate New York’s same-sex marriage law by inviting several same-sex couples to be married on stage, after the performance July 25, observing the requisite 24-hour waiting period after the first same-sex marriage licenses will be issued July 24.

Rory O’Malley, who earned a Tony nomination for his performance in the “Book Of Mormon,” and who is a co-founder of the gay rights group Broadway Impact, made the announcement this evening via Twitter and in front of the St. James Theatre, where “Hair” officially opens tonight after closing in June of 2010.
