Breitbart Editor Dana Loesch Is (Of Course) Defending Akin On Rape Comment

The Internets are aghast after Republican Congressman Todd Akin told a Fox reporter that women who are victims of “legitimate rape” rarely if ever get pregnant because their bodies automagically just “shut down” those pregnancies — so there’s no point in even discussing abortion in cases of rape.

Fortunately, for Rep. Akin — who’s running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Senator Claire McCaskill — he has one person actually defending him over his comments, as being someone merely “trying to fit medical explanation into a soundbite.”

Really? On what planet are Akin’s comments medically related?

No doubt Congressman Akin was concerned about fitting his ideas of how pregnancies occur into a tiny soundbite, considering the edited Fox interview ran 18 minutes.

So, who is this brave American defender of Congressman Akin? None other than Breitbart editor Dana Loesch, who claims she isn’t defending the Congressman, merely upset that “some are stretching it majorly.”

Of course, Loesch is defending Akin the same way she addresses every situation in the world: find a sitution that has the same keywords, or in some alternate universe is somehow tangentially related to the major league Republican screw up, and try to make Democrats and liberals the ones to blame.

Even Twitchy, that journalistic malpractice carbunkle of Michelle Malkin isn’t defending Akin — but they are highlighting Loesch’s tweets.

Here’s a sample of Loesch’s misogynistic and 1,000,000% partisan defense of Rep. Akin over his pregnancy self-termination by the bodies of rape victims comment.

Let’s of course remember that Loesch, who is also a CNN contributor, claims (via Dana Busted):

“Religious liberty was legislated out of existence without public outcry. American business-owners are now responsible for the results that stem from sexual decisions made by supposedly independent women…”

She also claims those who support marriage equality cannot be Christians. “I know you hate Christ,” Loesch said to one woman.
