Breaking: Uganda Parliament Puts ‘Kill The Gays’ Bill Back On Agenda

The Parliament of Uganda has reconvened and has put their infamous “Kill The Gays” bill back on the schedule. The bill, which — contrary to proven false statements by Ugandan politicians and accepted as fact by the mainstream media — definitely includes the death penalty for the “crime” of being gay.

When Parliament closed last year for the holidays, the Kill The Gays bill was at the top of Parliament’s agenda. Now, at the start of Parliament’s session, the bill appears far down on the list. In fact, on today’s Order Paper — Parliament’s daily schedule — it’s number eight under Notice Of Business To Follow, which is the last section of business.

Head of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga apparently broke her promise last year to pass the bill as a “Christmas present” for Uganda’s Christians.

Clearly, the bill, which was first introduced in 2009, is being used as a political tool, both inside Uganda, and in the Uganda government’s dealing with other nations.

But the fact remains that there are many in Uganda who want this bill passed, and many Americans, especially the religious right, who are helping them.
