Breaking: Ten Medals For Gay Olympians As US Wins Gold In Basketball!

After sweeping the preliminaries, and following their  Olympic  victories in the finals over Canada, 91 – 48, in which Seimone Augustus scored 9 points, and over Australia 86 – 73 in which she scored 8, the United States National Women’s Team has taken the gold, winning their final match against France with a score of 86-50.

Out and proud lesbian Seimone Augustus scored 8 points.

This Olympic win adds to the team’s record as Olympic champion: 1984, 1988, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and World champion: 1953, 1957, 1979, 1986, 1990, 1998, 2002, 2010 In addition, the US team won silver medals at the 1976 Olympics and 1983 world championship, and bronze medals at the 1992 Olympics and 1994 and 2006 world championship.

This brings medal count for out and proud gay athletes the 2012 Olympics games to ten: seven gold, one silver, and two bronze.  That’s quite an impressive accomplishment for the twenty-four gay Olympians who competed. Congratulations one and all!
