Breaking: New Poll Shows Akin Down By 10 Points Against McCaskill
A new poll just released by Rasmussen — a thoroughly right-leaning pollster the GOP thinks is the gold standard — places Congressman Todd Akin down a whopping ten points against Senator Claire McCaskill, whose seat the embattled GOP Congressman is running for. Akin is now at 38% and McCaskill at 48%, with 14% undecided or in favor of someone else.
The poll, taken just yesterday, is a sharp contrast — thanks to Akin’s “legitimate” rape comments — against where the race has been.
Previously, Rasmussen had put Akin five points over McCaskill.
A PPP poll on Monday, one day after Akin’s comments became public, put McCaskill at 44% and Akin at 43%.
