Breaking: ‘Multiple Deaths Including Children’ At Connecticut School Shooting Reported
The Hartford Courant, the leading newspaper of Connecticut’s capital city, is reporting “multiple deaths,” and an update moments later, “including children” this morning at a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut. One shooter is known to be dead, the identity of the other victim or victims is unknown. News reports state three children and one teacher were taken to Danbury Hospital, a level two trauma center.
“Multiple people, including children, have been killed in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The number of victims is unclear,” the Courant is reporting:
Sources said a person believed to be a shooter is dead. Earlier reports of a second shooter are unconfirmed.
Earlier reports state the school principal was the intended target, and one teacher was shot in the foot, and two handguns have been recovered.
There is at least one confirmed death — sources say it is the Sandy Hook School principal– in the Newtown shooting.
