BREAKING: ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ Repeal Bill Vote Blocked 56-43

The U.S. Senate, in large part thanks to GOP Senators John McCain, Jeff Sessions, and James Inhofe, just voted to not move the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) bill, including the attached “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal bill and the DREAM act, forward.

60 votes were needed.

This means that at some point, probably after the midterm elections, in a lame duck session, the senate will be forced to vote again on this bill.
