Bradlee Dean Attacks Liberals As He Defends His Anti-Gay School Assembly

Bradlee Dean visited a local church near Dunkerton, Iowa, last night to defend his organization’s teachings Thursday that included anti-gay, anti-women, and anti-abortion messages in graphic detail — including showing students photos of dead fetuses. Dean is head of both “Junkyard Prophet,” a Christian metal rock group, and the Christian youth ministry it belongs to, “You Can Run But You Cannot Hide,” which last week was officially certified as an anti-gay hate group. Dean reportedly has close ties to Rep. Michele Bachmann.

In this video, Dean falsely claims there were “no negative comments, zero, zilch,” about the three and a half hour Dunkerton, Iowa school assembly for which Dean and his group were reportedly hired to advance anti-bullying efforts, but instead attacked homosexuality, abortion, women’s rights, and even made statements against divorce that were certain to make teens feel bad.

All local papers we found have reports of several if not many children being in tears after the assembly, and many complaints from both children and parents about the assembly.

The school assembly included students in junior high and high school.

You Can Run But You Cannot Hide was invited to the small Iowa school last week to deliver their special message against rock music lyrics but instead preached against homosexuality, abortion, and sex outside of marriage. Reportedly, the school administration was unaware that You Can Run But You Cannot Hide (YCRBYCH) and its Christian rock band “Junkyard Prophet” would deliver homophobic and misogynistic rhetoric, but reportedly many schools have fallen prey to deception from YCRBYCH, and the Dunkerton, Iowa school district is yet another. Sadly, no one stopped the group.

In the video below taken last night, one person wearing a shirt with a “You Can Run But You Cannot Hide” logo, Jake McMillan, is seen quoting lyrics from a Lady Gaga song, and calls homosexuality “sexually deviant,” and a choice, and compares being gay with adultery.

“Isn’t it interesting how the liberals and the radicals work? They attack and then they cry ‘victim’!” Bradlee Dean can be heard yelling, and then, it appears, yelling at a young woman in the audience.

The WCF Courier adds:

During the question and answer session, a man who identified himself as a father with children in the Dunkerton school suggested he at times felt overwhelmed. The message Dean’s group offered was welcome, he said, against the daily onslaught in the media and classroom

“I want to say thanks for the help,” the man said.

Another speaker, though, took issue with the tone. Dustin Cox of Waterloo described himself as a youth minister and certified teacher.

“I’m not really sure God is pleased with all this,” he said.

Cox urged participants to check their “divine spirit” and resist the “I’m more Christian than you” attitude.

Dean said he was “100 percent certain” God appreciated the evening’s effort.
