Today, the Obama White House was all over civil rights and, yes, LGBTQ issues. First, they announced sixteen awesome appointments to administration civil rights positions. More on that tomorrow morning. This afternoon, White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer was taking and answering questions on Twitter. Thanks to our friend @Clarknt67, aka Scott Wooledge, Dan left us with this awesome tweet, the best White House tweet ever, as far as I’m concerned, because so much is at stake with this.
He may not have mentioned it in his State of the Union address, but, “POTUS is very concerned about bullying and is hosting a conference on the subject. Will send more details when we have them.”
We’ll be keeping our eyes open for this. It’s literally a matter of life and death.
