Bachmann Calls Piers Morgan “Rude” For Saying She’s “Bigoted” For “Traditional Values” Beliefs

Michele Bachmann in an interview that airs tonight calls CNN’s Piers Morgan “rude” for suggesting she is “bigoted” for believing in “traditional values.” The failed former GOP presidential candidate and Congresswoman from Minnesota was asked her opinion on former teen star Kirk Cameron’s pronouncement to Morgan that homosexuality is “unnatural” and “destructive,” but Bachmann, having built her career on the backs of the LGBT community, refused to answer directly.

Via CNN:

“I’m not here as anybody’s judge,” insists Bachmann.

“We’ll, you got to have a view,” states the host.

“Me? Hardly, hardly, hardly,” jokes the Congresswoman.

Morgan then goes on to refer to Bachmann as “one of the most judgemental people in American politics,” to which the Republican from Minnesota takes offense:

“Well that’s rude. That’s absolutely rude.”

Mediaite adds:

I’m not a judgmental person!” Bachmann added.

“Really?!” Morgan perplexedly gasped. “I’m not being rude, but you’ve been very, very outspoken.”

“I believe in traditional values,” the Congresswoman argued. “I believe in marriage between a man and a woman and I don’t think that’s bigoted.”

Morgan proceeded to read one of her quotes from 2004, saying that being gay “leads to the personal enslavement of individuals. Because if you’re involved in the gay and lesbian lifestyle, it’s bondage.”

“That’s fairly judgmental, isn’t it?” Morgan pressed.

“I’m not here as anybody’s judge,” Bachmann countered.
