Virulently anti-gay bishop E.W. Jackson, who is now the Tea Party Republican nominee for Lt. Governor of Virginia, self-published a book in 2008 titled Ten Commandments To An Extraordinary Life. Aside from the questionably appropriateness of a minister writing his own Ten Commandments, what he didn’t do was write the title correctly on the book’s cover.
As you can see, the title of the book’s cover reads, Ten Comandments To An Extraordinary Life — apparently the second ‘m’ is silent, or, something.
The book, available on Amazon if you care to read it, is published by Exodus Faith Ministries, the name of Jackson’s Virginia Church.
Jackson, amusingly in his Ten ‘Comandments’ book, claims yoga allows Satan “to invade the empty vacuum of your soul and possess it.”
Bishop Jackson has also claimed same-sex marriage will lead to “Adam and a bull” marriage, gay people are “very sick people psychologically, mentally and emotionally,” along with calling gays and lesbians “perverted,†“degenerate,†“spiritually darkened†and claimed the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is an “abomination.”
Jackson also, when the war on HIV/AIDS was just beginning, fought the use of education and condoms against the disease.
Jackson is running on the same ticket as Virginia’s current Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, who is hoping to be elected Governor.
