Anti-Gay Hate Group Suggests Gay Blogger Perez Hilton Is A Pedophile

Peter Sprigg, Vice President of Policy Studies for the certified anti-gay hate group Family Research Council, today teamed up with the Washington Times to suggest gay blogger Perez Hilton is a pedophile. Sprigg stated, “He does have a known interest in children,” then added, “having published a photo of teen star Miley Cyrus that could have been considered child pornography.” Last year the controversial blogger published a photo of then-seventeen-year old Cyrus stepping out of a car, reportedly without underwear.

Hilton has recently written a childrens’ book, “The Boy With Pink Hair,” soon to be published.

But perhaps equally repugnant to Sprigg’s thinly-veiled assertion that Hilton is a pedophile (there is absolutely no evidence that suggests he is,) is the Times‘ own piece, which, right before quoting Sprigg, states, “It would seem that Mr. Hilton, whose legal name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., does indeed have some experience with children.”

For context, here’s a broader clip:

“‘If Madonna can write a children’s book, and if Obama can write a children’s book, then Perez Hilton can also,’ says Katarzyna Jerzak, a comparative-literature professor at the University of Georgia who has taught classes on children’s literature.

“Mr. Hilton’s book, according to the publisher’s press release, is “the story of a child born with a shock of fabulous hair that sets him apart from his peers. While some find this difference hard to accept or understand, ‘The Boy With Pink Hair’ uses the opportunity to find what makes him special and share it with the world.”

“It would seem that Mr. Hilton, whose legal name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., does indeed have some experience with children.

“He does have a known interest in children,” says Peter Sprigg, a senior fellow for Family Policy Studies at the Family Research Council, “having published a photo of teen star Miley Cyrus that could have been considered child pornography.”

“In June 2010, the blogger took to Twitter to disseminate a picture of pop star and teen actress Miley Cyrus getting out of a car, legs spread open, and crotch apparently visible for all to see.”

A search of Hilton’s website reveals no mention of the anti-gay group’s allegation.

Regular readers will remember that Sprigg just a year ago on Hardball With Chris Matthews answered, “Yes,” to Matthews’ question, “Do you believe gay behavior should be outlawed?”

The Family Research Council was co-founded by the now infamous George Alan Rekers, recently humiliated in the media as the man who hired a male prostitute to “lift his luggage,” during their trip to Europe.
