Anti-Gay Christian Group’s New Anti-Gay Marriage Video Compares Gays To Racists

The Alliance Defending Freedom just published this cutsey anti-gay marriage video that attacks President Obama and compares same-sex marriage equality supporters to racists and polygamists. Amusing, since the folks who they say tried to “redefine” marriage were on their side: Christians. (Sorry, fair-minded Christians, but let’s be honest.) Then, they suggest same-sex marriages have “no public purpose,” as if hundreds of thousands of same-sex couples aren’t raising kids right now — while on screen flashing icons suggesting same-sex marriage proponents want to change marriage laws to include polygamy.

The ADF, formerly the Alliance Defense Fund, (ADF), a Christian anti-gay legal organization that is one of the parties involved in Prop 8, was co-founded by some of the biggest names in anti-gay hate — including a few folks from anti-gay hate groups.

Here’s the first paragraph from their Wikipedia entry:

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF, formerly Alliance Defense Fund) is an American conservative Christian nonprofit organization with the stated goal of “defending the right to hear and speak the Truth through strategy, training, funding, and litigation.” ADF was founded in 1994 by Bill Bright (founder, Campus Crusade for Christ), Larry Burkett (founder, Crown Financial Ministries), James Dobson (founder, Focus on the Family), D. James Kennedy (founder, Coral Ridge Ministries), Marlin Maddoux (president, International Christian Media), and Donald Wildmon (founder, American Family Association), along with the leadership of over thirty other conservative Christian organizations.

Yes, Donald Wildmon’s American Family Association is a certified anti-gay hate group.
