American Family Association Wrong About Christmas At GAP

var addthis_config = {“data_track_addressbar”:true};
After we posted our report on the American Family Association’s GAP boycott, a reader noted on our Facebook page they had found Christmas items at Old Navy. So, we did more digging and indeed found a Christmas item at Old Navy — which blows up the American Family Association’s reason for boycotting the GAP.

While we’re not in the business of hawking the GAP’s merchandise, Baby’s First Christmas, “Christmas Bodysuit & Pant Sets for Baby,” certainly fits the mold.

(There’s also “Men’s Disney© The Nightmare Before Christmas Tees,” but I’m not sure that qualifies.)

And I’m pretty sure this looks like a Christmas tree on this Banana Republic gift card, though, not being a Christian, and being gay, perhaps the AFA thinks I’m not qualified to judge?

Bottom line, using the word “Christmas,” and having the spirit of Christmas are two different things. More importantly, America is not a Christian nation, American Family Association, and there are plenty who like to use the word, and plenty who don’t.

And isn’t the commercialization of Christmas exactly what’s wrong with it?
