“The Monkees” Lead Singer Davy Jones Dies Of Heart Attack At 66

Davy Jones, the British-born lead singer from the 1960’s pop music group “The Monkees” has died at the age of 66 from a heart attack, in Florida. Jones, part of the four-man band created primarily in respond to the Beatles, and initially as merely a TV show, sang in several hit singles, including “I Wanna Be Free” and “Daydream Believer.” Jones was married three times and has four daughters. His discography can be seen here. Jones’ personal website was not accessible as of this writing.

On a personal note, RIP Davy Jones, and thanks for all the great memories you gave me as a child. I loved The Monkees — all of them — and always will.
