One News Now, the “news” site run by the American Family Association, a certified hate group led by Bryan Fischer, today has a poll that asks, “What’s the major factor that allows homosexuals – a tiny fraction of the whole population – to dictate major changes in cultural morality?” And yes, you already know the answer, but let’s play along anyway?

- Money
- Half-Truths
- Intimidation
- Satan is on their side
Now, it used to be thought that the LGBT community, by and large, had more disposable income than our heterosexual peers, largely because we didn’t have kids and raise families. Well, that’s totally wrong, for two reasons. First, gays and lesbians, and bisexual and transgender folks DO have kids and raise families, and second, we are often paid less than our heterosexual peers for the same job. Go figure.
Half-truths? Evidently, if you can use your version of the Bible as your version of the “truth,” well, I guess gays and lesbians, and bisexual and transgender folks haven’t got a prayer.
Intimidation? Funny how they like to have it both ways. On the one hand, people like Bryan Fischer, and other homophobic bigots think gays are supposedly frail, weak, and effeminate. On the other hand, we’re so powerful we can intimidate an entire nation into changing their deep-seated beliefs. Wow.
So, since we’ve debunked the first three reasons, it should come as no surprise that almost half — yes, 44% of One News Now readers believe that “Satan” is on the side of gays and lesbians, and bisexual and transgender folks.
