Sarah Palin Holds Christian College Rally To Celebrate Troops

Sarah Palin, who has chosen to ignore the spotlight after the heat got a little too hot to handle, will hold a rally for America’s troops Monday night, less than 24 hours after President Obama announced U.S. forces had killed Osama bin Laden. The event, billed as a “Tribute to the Troops with Sarah Palin,” is being called “a military and veterans appreciation rally.” Palin will be featured with Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, famous for describing the “war on terror” as a war on “Satan.” Boykin infamously said in 2003, “I knew my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol.”

Since Boykin’s 2007 retirement, Boykin has said,  “Islam is not just another religion,” but, “in its fullest form, Islam is a complete and totalitarian way of life,” and said the Koran is “unequivocal in its directive to Muslims to establish a global Islamic state” with “Sharia as the only law of the land.”

The event, being held at the Colorado Christian College, formerly the Denver Bible Institute,  was booked prior to Sunday night’s announcement that the U.S. had killed Osama bin Laden, but forces attention onto Palin, given its proximity to Sunday’s event, and calls into question how a potential President Palin would have handled the killing of bin Laden.

Palin did not even mention President Obama in her Facebook statement noting the killing of bin Laden, and only said,

“Americans tonight are united in celebration and gratitude. God bless all the brave men and women in our military and our intelligence services who contributed to carrying out the successful mission to bring Bin Laden to justice and who laid the groundwork over the years to make this victory possible.  It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of these brave Americans who relentlessly hunted down our enemy.

“This is a victory for the American people, for the victims who were heartlessly murdered on September 11 and in Al Qaeda’s other numerous attacks, and for all the peace-loving people of the world.

“May God bless our troops and our intelligence services, and God bless America!”

Some believe, “Sarah Palin needs to give credit where credit is due.”
