“Not Ready”: New Hampshire Lawmakers Say No To Gay Marriage

Committee Votes 3 To 2 Against Bill

The New Hampshire Senate Judiciary Committee this morning voted against moving forward on a bill to legalized same-sex marriage. The Democratic Chairwoman, Deborah Reynolds, said she doesn’t believe her state is ready to accept gay marriage. Republicans on the committee cited God as their reason for voting against the legislation.

New Hampshire does provide civil unions for gays. No word on if another bill will be presented.
