“Breaking: Wealthy Liberal Determined To Redefine Marriage In Minnesota”

Via the anti-gay bigots at Minnesota For Marriage, the folks who bring you these anti-gay videos and who are fighting to get a ban on same-sex marriage equality written into the Minnesota constitution, and who last year said, “You know, in Europe, people are marrying animals!” comes this email scam:

Dear Friends,I am writing you today because liberal opponents of traditional marriage have announced that a major – George Soros– like donor will match all donations up to $200,000 to defeat the Minnesota Marriage Protection Amendment. This means that the assault on marriage in Minnesota is now receiving nation-wide financial support. But, even funding like this won’t stop us from protecting marriage by putting it in our state constitution where activist judges and politicians can’t meddle with it.Show people like George Soros that they can’t buy their anti-marriage agenda in Minnesota. Please donate $10, $25, 50 or even $250 today. We’ve already seen the negative consequences of redefining marriage in other countries. The Canadian Times reported “The newly proposed, Ontario curriculum, which teaches six genders (male, female, transgendered, transsexual, two-spirited and inter-sexed) is being taught by teachers in Toronto schools and is confusing to our children. Our precious, impressionable little boys and girls, as young as eight years old, are forced to ‘role play opposite (gender) roles’ and even search images of Pride Week. The curriculum is mandatory without parental notice or option to withdraw their children.” Will you please help us by donating $10, $25, 50 or even $250 today? In Lexington, Massachusetts a father was put in jail because he objected to not being notified by the school and denied the right to opt his six-year-old out of homosexual curriculum or adult discussions.David Parker was charged with trespassing and spent the night in jail when he said he would not leave until the school figured out a way where he could opt his six-year-old out of the class.Click here to donate $10, $25, 50 or even $250 if you think that this is wrong and Mr. Parker did the right thing.

Friends, please don’t let extreme liberal groups redefine marriage in Minnesota. Don’t let them redefine our school curriculum or dictate what you as a parent can or can’t do about it.

Together, with your help – we will win this November – protect our children, and defeat this attack on marriage.

God bless you,

John Helmberger, Chairman
Minnesota for Marriage
P.S. Your donation of $10, $25, 50 or even $250 will show opponents of one-man and one-woman marriage that we don’t need big liberal money to defend marriage.

ABOUT MINNESOTA FOR MARRIAGE
Minnesota for Marriage is a broad coalition of leaders, both inter-faith and people outside the religious community, who support the Minnesota Marriage Amendment and asked the Legislature to place it on the ballot. These leaders have assembled a campaign to ensure this amendment passes.

All the above from Minnesota For Marriage is a bunch of hooey. Seriously, I think this is all a money-making scam and email address harvesting business. Funny, too, how the file title on the George Soros image is “031312_nomemail.jpg”. NOM email? Really? So NOM is in cahoots with Minnesota for Marriage?

And seriously, what is it about George Soros that makes crazed conservatives, well, crazed? Like they’re not spending oodles of cash — probably from the Roman Catholic and Mormon Churches — on their anti-marriage agenda?

And seriously, “We’ve already seen the negative consequences of redefining marriage in other countries.” Because we don’t write our own laws here in the U.S.? What, we go to LegalZoom and download law templates or something? Are these people crazy?

Gotta love that “the assault on marriage in Minnesota is now receiving nation-wide financial support.” Yes. From NOM, the National Organization For Marriage!

Or, how about this part:

David Parker was charged with trespassing and spent the night in jail when he said he would not leave until the school figured out a way where he could opt his six-year-old out of the class.

Click here to donate $10, $25, 50 or even $250 if you think that this is wrong and Mr. Parker did the right thing.

Heck, if you think that this is wrong and Mr. Parker did the right thing, why not give him your money? Seriously.

Like I said, I think it’s a scam. No wonder anti-gay groups are so afraid of releasing their donor lists…
