Cruz: ‘We Need to Empower Law Enforcement to Patrol and Secure Muslim Neighborhoods’ (Video)
In Wake of Brussels Attacks Sen. Ted Cruz Puts His Islamophobia on Full Display
Ted Cruz grabbed the spotlight Tuesday, denouncing everyone he could in the wake of the Brussels terror attacks. President Barack Obama should immediately return from Cuba to Washington, or fly to Brussels itself to “keep America safe,” Cruz said.
He also managed to ramp up his hate-mongering of Islam – and of the U.S. Constitution.
“We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized,†Cruz insisted in a statement, displaying ignorance, stoking fear, prioritizing hate, and creating what some are calling a “police state.”
“We need to immediately halt the flow of refugees from countries with a significant al Qaida or ISIS presence,” Cruz demanded.
The Texas Tea Party Senator also stood on a Washington, D.C. street waving his flags of totalitarianism and offering up religious persecution while utilizing the attacks as an opportunity to gain votes.
“ISIS has declared jihad on Europe and on the Unites States of America. They have declared their intention to murder as many innocents as possible,” Cruz warned.
And he slammed President Barack Obama.
“It is long past time that we have a president who will acknowledge this evil, who will call it by its name and utilize the full force and fury of the United States to destroy radical Islamic terrorism.â€
“In the wake of Brussels, we don’t need another lecture from President Obama on Islamophobia.”
Cruz devolved to his politics of demonization, saying, “Our European allies are now seeing what comes of a toxic mix of migrants who have been infiltrated by terrorists and isolated, radical Muslim neighborhoods.”
And devolved further into fear-mongering, warning that the “days of the United States voluntarily surrendering to the enemy to show how progressive and enlightened we can be are at an end. Our country is at stake.”

Both Trump and Cruz’ reactions to Brussels are not just about cracking down on terrorism, but Muslims collectively. pic.twitter.com/WzHPbWBR4D

We don’t defeat terrorism by:
âžž inciting more fear
âžž abandoning our allies
âžž closing our borders
➞ patrolling our Muslim citizens#Brussels— Jesse Lehrich (@JesseLehrich) March 22, 2016
