The Daily Show’s Samantha Bee does an excellent job of exposing the hypocrisy falsehoods spewed by America’s ugliest, well, hypocrites and falsehood-spewers.

On Tuesday, Bee interviewed financial commentator and Euro Pacific Capital CEO Peter Schiff, who, on his own website, declares he is “becoming increasingly more renowned.”

He’ll likely be even more renowned after this Daily Show segment.

Schiff claims that increasing the minimum wage will increase unemployment — a false argument, according to Bee’s other expert — and that no one in a capitalistic society like America ever goes hungry.

Also, Schiff — an “expert on money, economic theory, and international investing,” and “an economic advisor to the 2008 Ron Paul presidential campaign” — says that only teens work at McDonald’s, and that the “mentally retarded” should work for $2 an hour, because, according to the Daily Show’s video, Schiff says those are “the principles the country was founded on.”

Schiff is the author of The Real Crash: America’s Coming Bankruptcy—How to Save Yourself and Your Country.

The video actually does an excellent job of making the case for increasing the minimum wage, and to more than President Obama’s suggested $10.10 an hour.

I find it very hard to believe that Schiff said that seriously. I am at a loss for words. Someone fill me in: did this guy really just intimate that people with cognitive disabilities are worth less than neurotypical individuals? I know what I heard, I'm just not comprehending (or, perhaps, my brain doesn't want me to comprehend!).

Ah, yet another self-absorbed, out-of-touch, avaricious venture capitalist contracts a severe case of Athlete's Tongue.

These neanderthal fiscal conservatives must be extremely limber, as they routinely demonstrate their ability to have both feet lodged in their mouths while simultaneously shoving their heads up their asses.
