Scott Lively: Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Bill’s Expected Passage A ‘Huge Blessing’

by David Badash on November 26, 2012

in News

Scott Lively has announced that he expects Uganda‘s anti-homosexuality bill, aka the “Kill The Gays” bill, “to pass into law with overwhelming public  support,” and calls this “a huge blessing for Uganda.” Lively claims, as some media outlets do too, that the death penalty has been removed from the bill, but as Rod McCullom at Ebony notes, this is “at least the third time in the last three years that the death penalty provision has been removed.”

“Lively said he didn’t agree with the death penalty provision but supports the nation’s strong stance against homosexual behavior,” a World Net Daily article about Uganda President Museveni states:

Lively added that Museveni is definitely drawing a contrast between Uganda and the West.

“This incident is also important as a contrast to the picture being painted of Uganda by the godless left of a backwards, violent and savage culture intent on murdering homosexuals,” Lively said.

“On the contrary, Museveni is calmly and confidently setting the course of his nation by the guidance of the Bible, in a way that also shows great courage and resolve,” Lively said.

Homosexual activist groups have criticized the government of Uganda and Museveni for passing laws criminalizing homosexual behavior. A current bill before the Ugandan Parliament increases the jail sentences for homosexual acts and includes criminal penalties for those who encourage or promote homosexuality.

On his own website, Lively writes:

This is a huge blessing for Uganda and for me personally after having  been vilified globally (and falsely) for two years by the leftist  media as the accused mastermind of the death penalty provision.

Lively, who is being sued in the International Court by the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) on behalf of Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG). “Lively’s involvement in anti-gay efforts in Uganda, including his active participation in a conspiracy to strip away fundamental rights from LGBT persons constitutes persecution, the Center for Constitutional Rights states.

Lively is the head of a certified anti-gay hate group, Abiding Truth Ministries, as the Southern Poverty Law Center notes:

Lively is best known for co-authoring, with Kevin Abrams, The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party. The book makes a series of claims that virtually no serious historian agrees with: that Hitler was gay, that “the Nazi Party was entirely controlled by militaristic homosexuals,” and that gays were especially selected for the SS because of their innate brutality. The claims are entirely false; in fact, the Nazis murdered significant numbers of gays and made homosexuality a death penalty offense in 1942. In the foreword, Abrams adds that homosexuality is “primarily a predatory addiction striving to take the weak and unsuspecting down with it. … They have no idea of how to act in the best interests of their country… . Their intention is to serve none but themselves.”

Lively is scheduled to appear on fellow-hate group leader Bryan Fischer’s radio show today.

Stay tuned for that.

Then why doesn't he take his white ass on over there and live among the savages who have just proven themselves unworthy of United Nations protections and membership.

He doesn't support the death penalty? Shame that as his barbaric little book certainly does. Can he really be in rebellion against "Gaaaaahhhhhhd's eteeeeerrrrrnaaaaal laaaaaaawwwws" to that extent? Mealy mouthed hypocrite.

The fact is the original Christians objected to non-procreational sex. They regarded the eyes as being for sight, the ears for hearing and the genitals for reproduction. This is quite in accordance with the laws of nature/God's intent.

The use and condoning of artificial contraception (for example) was regarded as pre-conceptual murder and a lust driven heresy by the early Christians who also saw marriage as a product of the fall and therefore a worldly secular concern which distracted from service to God. (Hence the passage in 1Timothy where the author says that any young widow seeking to remarry brings judgement upon themselves for abandoning their first love, and why, in Revelations, the 144,000 people to be redeemed from earth were to be those who had kept themselves untainted by women.)

The idea that sex outside marriage could be controlled with reference to asserting it to be an abomination in the eyes of the divine comes from Plato's "Laws" where one of the main protagonists suggests that if society were to adopt this position into law, so that anybody drawn to homosexual acts was faced with a solid wall of hostility, it would be good for the stability of society as a whole.

These people are not only bigots, therefore, but sodomitical heretics who have bent the laws of nature/God to suit their own carnal lust whilst trying to convince us all that "Gaaaaaahd's Woooord" is eternally true.

My own solution to the problem posed by these people was put forward by Martin Luther when (full of the holy spirit) he stated that unrepentant Jews should be cast out of Christian communities, their houses, schools and synagogues burnt to the ground and the immediate execution of any Rabbi caught preaching.

However, as tempting as it may be to treat these people as they treat others, I recognize the law does not cater for such behaviour.

I had the singular misfortune of debating Mr. Lively (if you can call it that, more like duelling emails) on the subject of dogmatic pronouncements without any rational scientific reason to find them compatible, and at about this time I finally realized, you cannot argue with the dogmatic. Remember about Mr. Lively, he co-wrote a book claiming that the Nazi's were all homosexuals and that gays, therefore, should be made to answer for Hitler's evil. He knows there is just enough factual material in his hairbrained book but cannot explain things like Goebbels' several children and a wife willing to snuff herself for Hitler, or why Adolph would off Roehm of the S.A., slaughtered by Himler and the S.S. in the Night of the Long Knives. Don't think any facts will get through to such buffoons.

I need your help. I have started a petition to get Congress to pass a bill to NOT allow hate groups, like scott lively's abiding truth ministries, a 501c3 charity status. Charity is about helping those in need, NOT "hate they neighbor". Please sign it at; http://signon.org/sign/stop-the-funding-for also please join my group https://www.facebook.com/AmericansFightingIntoler
