Rick Santorum, who apparently believes the President’s job centers on abortion and gay marriage, says that he finds it “almost remarkable” that a black man — Barack Obama — thinks he’s fit to decide who is a person and who is not, alluding to slavery in the original U.S. constitution that labeled blacks as three-fifths of a person.

“The question is … is that human life a person under the constitution? And Barack Obama says no. Well if that human life is not a person then … I find it almost remarkable for a black man to say ‘now we are going to decide who are people and who are not people’.”

Santorum also claims — falsely — that there are no biologists who would say a fertilized egg is not a human life.

Santorum lives a very, very sheltered and silted life.

The Huffington Post adds:

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum implied that President Barack Obama should be pro-life because he’s black, in an interview with CNS back in January 2011 (hat tip Buzzfeed).

Santorum challenged Obama over the idea of personhood, which the conservative candidate said isn’t even a debatable issue. Santorum favors a constitutional ban on abortion.

Here’s the video.

It's funny that Santorum thinks a single cell zygote is a person — because according to my judgement this 53 year old sociopath/ politician barely qualifies as human himself. He appears human at first glance but if you listen to what he says, it all boils down to "i hate"' or "I want to kill" this group or the other. His constant depersonalization of gays is ironic given that he barely qualifies as human himself.
