Mitt Romney appeared on “Fox News Sunday” and said he lost the 2012 campaign for the presidency because of “the Obamacare attractiveness” to “lower incomes.”

“We did very well with the majority population, but not with minority populations, and that was a failing, that was a real mistake,” Romney told Fox News host Chris Wallace.

“I think the Obamacare attractiveness and feature was something we underestimated, particularly among lower incomes. And, uh, just didn’t do as good a job in connecting with that audience as we should have.”

“The president had the power of incumbency, ‘Obamacare’ was very attractive, particularly to those without insurance, and they came out in large numbers to vote,” Romney said. “So that was part of a successful campaign,” TPM reports:

Romney first made comments to this effect on a conference call with donors after the November election, when he said Obama had been “very generous” in doling out “big gifts” to “the African American community, the Hispanic community and young people” as well as women during his first term. Asked about them in the Fox News interview, recorded earlier this week in his California home, he reiterated that belief.

Ian Millhiser at Think Progress adds:

During the course of the interview, Romney agreed with Wallace that his “47 percent” comment — his claim that 47 percent of the country will vote for Obama because they are “dependent upon government” and “believe that they are victims” — hurt his campaign by leaving the impression that he did not like many voters. Nevertheless, this explanation of his loss is reminiscent of the explanation he gave his donors for his defeat shortly after the election — Obama won because of “the gifts” he gave to African-Americans, Latinos and young voters.

Note that Romney doesn’t use the word “people” in his comments. They are not even “voters,” but, “populations.”

Romney had no moral right to be president of the American people because he never saw them as people. They are “populations,” or an “audience.”

Leviticus, chapter 25, verse 1 and then verses 44 and ending in verse 46:
"The Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai saying: As for the male and female slaves whom you may have, it is from the nations around you that you may acquire male and female slaves. You may also acquire them from among the aliens residing with you, who have been born in your land; they may be your property. You may keep them as a possession for your children after you, for them to inherit as property. These you may treat as slaves. . . ."
The Epistle of Saint Paul to Philemon, especially verses 10 through 14:
"I (The Apostle Paul) am appealing to you for my child, Onesimus. . . .Formerly he was useless to you but now he is indeed useful. . . .I am sending him. . . .back to you. . . ."
This is a story of a slave, Onesimus, who had escaped from his owner. Paul documents that he is sending the slave back to his rightful owner. (This is not at all like The Underground Railroad set up by abolitionists to help American slaves to escape slavery.)

Unless you live by the laws of the Book of Leviticus don't bother quoting it to try and make your point.

No Mitt the Twit, you lost because you are an elitist, ignorant, racist, male-chauvanist, homophobic, selfish, anti-American, anti-freedom, non-human, parasitic, barbaric wast of life who cares more about the elevators for his cars than he does for elevator access for tax payers in wheelchairs. Grow up.

He lost because the nation is deciding to rid itself of the filth and disease of Republicanism.

You know, paraphrasing in the headline to make it sound worse is what the right-wing sites do. We're supposed to be better than that.

And he still thinks that angry old rich white men are the majority.

Gee, if only the governor who first implemented that same idea didn't make it popular to begin with. What was his name again?

Precisely – and no one on the Right EVER brings this up.
