North Carolina Pastor Charles L. Worley, who called for genocide-like concentration camps for all gay people made headlines this week, but he did not only attack gays on Mother’s Day. Worley has a long history of calling for the Bible-based dead of gay people, going back at least as far as 1978, when he lamented that gays weren’t hung from trees anymore.

By now, most everyone has heard Pastor Worley’s sermon from Sunday, May 13, Mother’s Day.

“Build a great, big, large fence — 150 or 100 mile long — put all the lesbians in there,” Pastor Worley says, as his sermon builds. ”Do the same thing for the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can’t get out…and you know what, in a few years, they’ll die out…do you know why? They can’t reproduce!”

But the following Sunday, May 20, Pastor Worley continued his attacks on gay people, having his assistant read Leviticus and Romans and inviting all sodomites into his church so he could preach to them and “save” them.

Watch this video. (The audio is very low but gets better later.) The May 20 sermon begins about 2:15. His “invitation,” during which he claims, “this church loves people, and any homosexual, any sodomite” is invited to hear him preach against you.

My concern is for the children who hear this. The LGBTQ children who hear this, and have it impact their psyche, and the kids who hear this and think it’s OK to bully — or worse — kids who are LGBTQ, or whom they think are.

Towards the end, Pastor Worley claims that homosexuals he nows were so miserable because they were gay.

He adds, ‘When you get into [homosexuality], it puts the hooks of hell into you.”

The "sodomites" and Lesbians should invite him for a reading of the US Constitution with ALL THE AMENDMENTS.

He should be invited for a reading of Christ's Sermon on the Mount.

C'mon…he'd be first in line to string his make-believe savior up if he appeared on his church's doorstep.

Another one with a martyr complex. I'm sure he's secretly hoping for violence against him so he too can play the Christian "victim" of intolerance.

Let's stick to topic here. The man's aim is to have the "gay gene" die out, according to his sermon, and he proposes to bring about that result by putting all gay people in concentration camps.
The flaw in his logic is that he'd miss the gay people born of unions he approves of, those between men and women. The man must have missed that one crucial day of biology class.

*sighs* I just finally had the courage to come out as transgendered no less, and now this…Oh well, this "pastor" won't stop me.

I am Christian too. I just refuse to believe his brand of Christianity.

The pastor is 71 years old. Hopefully he is near the end of his natural life. His type of ideas and hate have no place in this world. His ideas are based on the insanity of religion, and fueled by a hatred that could only come from a deeply conflicted man desperately trying to supress his own homosexual tendencies.

He is unrepentant. I hope the reaction to his sermon continues until he loses everything — his tax exempt status, his job, his church, his congregation. He has literally threatened millions of us with confinement and death. i have no idea what world he thinks he lives in that he can get away with this.

This man has no need to go to hell — he is already in it. Perhaps his life will have value in that he will repulse an entire generation who will turn away from hate and bigotry.

As for his followers who shouted "amen" to his hate speech and continue to defend him, I don't know what to say. I hope it is dawning on them that what the pastor says and believes are terribly wrong and shameful.
