Sarah Palin is taking full advantage of the broad platform her Fox News contributor status affords. Last night she sat with Bill O’Reilly on his Fox News show to hawk her latest book, Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas.

Palin told Bill O’Reilly that “angry atheists armed with an attorney” are waging a “war on Christmas” and she’s not going to stand for it.

“That war on Christmas is the tip of the spear that really translates into a war on religious freedom,” Palin said. “That’s a much bigger problem that we will be facing if we just were to sit back and allow the angry atheists who are armed with an attorney to tell us that we cannot say things like ‘Merry Christmas.’”

O’Reilly then brought up the American Atheists billboard in Times Square that we reported on yesterday.

“After you get off the air here you might go over to Times Square there’s a big atheist sign now and it’s very offensive. It says ‘You don’t need God in Christmas.’ Ok and it’s huge, it’s huge. I mean there is money behind these people.”

O’Reilly has a Times Square billboard as well, hawking his death books: Killing Jesus, Killing Kennedy, Killing Lincoln.

“Now do I object to that sign?,” Palin asked. “Not really. I don’t object to it. But it’s mean-spirited. It goes back to MSNBC. It goes back — it’s just mean spirited.”

MSNBC has an atheists sign too?

Is Sarah Palin ever NOT pissed off about something. She is never happy – what a bitter, unhappy person.

She is hawking a book about the War on Christmas. If you want to understand her it's all about the cash.

Shes an evangelical the people who think the wrong side won the civil war

Tie her up – I think with shes been on Fauix news – the repub spin machine

Why is fox so essentially racist though they dont use that word

Roger Ailes who runs fox news was nixons boy who implemented the nix southern strategy that changed the south from the dixiecrats (bad dems) to the repubs.

The foundation of this hatred etc was Pr. Johnson who grew up dirt poor, passing the civil right bills about 1965

At the supreme courrt after Doma and prop 8 were crushed the head of the evangelical association spoke outside and promised to "get even"

Those racist pig leaders should be sent to the rrussian gulag. For their types, religious freedom is a curse on humanity.

Hopefully she'll do as her daughter did and get fcked by a BF. Reminds me of Maggie Gallagher of "traditional marriage" who had not one but two illegitimate kids

I also heard brian brown speak at the mall re the people there when the supreme court held teh marriage hearings

His voice, gestures etc screamed gay gay and more gay (I''m not gay but worked as a volunteer phone banking for HRC. After quiting we go out with our gay frends there and get gaydar lessons. since about 50% of the people in the area – Dupont cirlce in DC are gay.

No kidding. I will be happy to oblige Ms. Palin. I will buy the nine-inch nails and the cross timbers and do the honors. She will just squeal with delight as she looks up skyward and says, "My God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

StanJames December 6, 2013 at 10:10 pm

Nope; Sarah Failin – I mean Palin you Illiterate, ill-mannered, Tea Taliban Troglodyte, media whore. Your war on civility is the tip of the spear of the war on American freedom being waged by you anti-American, anti-freedom Reich-wing and Tea Taliban Troglodytes.

P.S. Happy Holidays!

That's rich coming from a woman who sports Chick-fil-A t-shirts in public and who puts cross-hairs on a map of her political enemies. Mean-spirited, indeed.

StanJames December 6, 2013 at 10:14 pm

Like Gabriesl gifford who got shot in the head by the nutcase who prob saw the adv of Palin about 20 dems in the crosshairs.

She was of course appealing to the largely repub NRA nuts who make america a 40x more gun rate deaths then England where you can only have hunting rifles and shot guns

We're also about 5 – 10 more gun murderous rate wise then other english speaking nations.

If you see or hear something about 2.5 million people were saved by brandishing a gun per the NRA, all you need to know is that the NRA has 3 million members and they regularly send out and robocall screams about losing their rights to deadly weapons. like military assault rifles

Now, we have militant anti-gay activist and official quitter Palin joining the right wing chorus: "Religious freedom" trumps the guarantee that all men are created equal! Refusing service to other Americans is "religious freedom!" Money lust is "religious freedom!" The sin of homophobia is "religious freedom!" Long live "religious freedom!" I wonder what Jesus thinks about her (their) perverted version of "religious freedom?"
