New Jersey Votes Against Marriage Equality 14-20
Today, in a 14-20 vote, the New Jersey State Senate voted against the Freedom of Religion in Civil Marriage bill. The bill, which was the final attempt to provide equal protection to the thousands of same sex couples in New Jersey before Governor-elect Chris Christie takes office January 19.
