House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi on Sunday blasted Speaker Paul Ryan and White House budget director Mick Mulvaney for recent statements concerning the repeal of Obamacare and President Donald Trump's massive proposed budget cuts.

Last week, Ryan called the GOP's plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act "an act of mercy." And this week, Mulvaney referred to cuts to domestic programs such as Meals on Wheels in the proposed budget as  “probably one of the most compassionate things we can do."

In an interview with CBS News' "Face the Nation," Pelosi acknowledged that Obamacare could be improved, especially with regard to its implementation.

"We wish the Republicans would work with us to do that, or we can work with them to do that, but what they have put forth as a terrible bill," she said.

"Twenty-four million people kicked off of health insurance, which the speaker calls an act of mercy," Pelosi said, referring to the Congressional Budget Office's analysis of Trumpcare. "And then at the same time they put out a budget which the OMB director, Mulvaney, says is compassionate, to take money from Meals on Wheels and give it to the defense department. We take an oath to protect and defend our country, but our strength is measured in more ways than just taking money of the health, education and the well-being of the American people, which is a source of our strength. Compassionate acts of mercy? I don't know what faith that is."

Below are clips of the remarks by Ryan and Mulvaney.
